The IIF enables the interoperability, interconnection, and implementation of IPTV systems/services by developing ATIS standards and facilitating related technical activities. This forum will place an emphasis on North American and ATIS Member Company needs in coordination with other regional and international standards development organizations.

IPTV Terminal Function (ITF) (as defined in the IPTV Architecture Requirements, ATIS-0800002), represents the functionality within the consumer network that is responsible for terminating the IP signal and converting the content into a renderable format (e.g., a STB).

A role that is played by business or organization that has commercial agreement with IPTV Customers and provides IPTV Products and IPTV Services to IPTV Subscribers and IPTV Users associated with these IPTV Customers.
