Effective 4-Wire

The term “Effective 4-Wire” denotes a condition which permits the simultaneous independent transmission of information in both directions over a channel. The method of implementing effective 4-wire transmission is at the discretion of the Access Service Provider (physical, time domain, frequency-domain separation or echo cancellation techniques).
