A U.S. Act that was signed into law by President Clinton on October 28, 1998. It was designed to implement the treaties signed in December 1996 at the WIPO Geneva conference, but also contains additional provisions addressing related matters such as a ban on the circumvention of DRM technological measures used to control copyrightable works.
